Abstract

This review provides updated 2022 ERS/ATS standards for the interpretation of pulmonary function tests. Reference equations, lower and upper limits of normal for a healthy population, bronchodilator responsiveness testing are discussed. Algorithms for the interpretation of spirometry, lung volumes and gas diffusion tests are presented.
