Abstract

Recently, one of the most studied areas for the development of lung cancer is the immune system. Altered immune defence mechanisms and the microenvironment create favourable conditions for the development of tumour cells. Prolonged tissue repair processes, altered tissue microenvironment, which alters immune cell activation, promotes genetic damage and initiates tumorigenesis also receive important attention.
