Abstract

The worldwide prevalence of allergy and cancer are increasing and has been an interesting research topic over the years. There are various hypotheses regarding the impact of IgE-mediated allergies and the occurrence of cancer: inappropriate T-helper 2 immune skewing, immunoglobulin E antibofy cytotoxic influence on cancer cells, prolonged chronic inflammation and the production factors which may augment oncogenesis. Different mechanisms of allergy and cancer development are discussed in this article.
