Abstract

Vaccines are key public health tools with a favorable safety profile and efficacy that have historically played an important role in reducing the burden of infectious diseases. Although serious allergic reactions to vaccines are rare, it should be aware of potential allergens in vaccines. In this review, it is described examples of various vaccine components that can cause hypersensitivity reactions.
