Abstract
Bronchoscopy is a modern, safe endoscopic diagnostic method enabling assessment of lower respiratory tract structures and collection of samples for cytological, histological, and microbiological analyses. This article discusses the main techniques of interventional pulmonology, including flexible and rigid bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy, and cryobiopsy. It reviews their diagnostic value, potential adverse events, common indications, and contraindications.
