Abstract

The immune system plays a crucial role in protecting the body against cancer by recognizing and destroying cells it perceives as foreign. Cancer immunity strategies aim to restore immunity systems abilities to mobilize an antitumor immune response. Immunotherapy is an existing area of cancer research and treatment, which is showing promising results for people with advanced lung cancers.
