Abstract

Primary immunodeficiency (PID) is defect of one or more components of immune system. This disease belongs to rare diseases. The main sign of PID is frequent, severe and long-lasting infections. Type of infection and course as well as prognosis of disease depends on the components of immune system which are affected. It is necessary to diagnose and treat PID as soon as possible. Patients and doctors need more information about warning signs of PID and management of patients with this disease (vaccines, travel, work, physical activities, etc.). The aim of this article is to review classification, warning signs, diagnosis and treatment of PID and management of these patients.
