As usually, the specialists in pneumonology begin the management (diagnostics and conservative treatment, bronchological interventions) of these patients. This article discusses the indications for urgent thoracic surgery in an acute tracheal pathology (progressive stenosis, foreign bodies, tracheo-esophageal and tracheo-arterial fistula).
