Abstract

Pscychological immune modilation is a known phenomenon for a long time, but there were not much relevant literature until last decade. The journal „Psychosomatic medicine“and other articles in MEDLINE are a well source of articles finding out about development and future tendency of psychoneuroimmunoly. There are sufficient data to conclude that immune modulation by psychosocial stressors can lead to actual health changes. These changes include worsen wound healing, better susceptibility to infectious deseases. although, proinflammatory cytokine production can be directly stimulated by negative emotions and stressful experiences and indirectly stimulated by chronic or recurring infections.
