Abstract

Lung cancer is the major cause of cancer-related mortality in men and women worldwide. NSCLC comprise the majority of cases, and the prognosis of patients diagnosed with advanced NSCLC continues to be dismal. The development of personalized medicine with a focus on novel targeted therapies has supplanted the one-size-fitsall approach to the treatment of many cancers, including non-small cell lung cancer.
