The interstitial lung disease, are a group pulmonary and systemic disorders damaging lungs. They have similar radiological features. The aim of the study was to evaluate diagnostic role of the radiological symptoms in case of dissemination in chest x-ray of the lungs and diffuse interstitial changes in CT. Data of radiological examinations of the lungs of 196 patients with intestitial lung disease were analysed. The diseases included pulmonary sarcoidosis, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, pneumoconioses, tuberculosis, organizing pneumonia and other. The most common radiological symptoms were small nodules, multiple infiltrates, and diffuse reticular changes. In mostof the cases particular disorder manifested with combination of several radiological symptoms. Furthermore specific radiological symptoms had different distribution within secondary pulmonary lobules. Retrospective study shows that HRCT is most important tool for diagnosis and differential diagnosis of interstitial lung diseases.
